Harrington, DE — Arthur Stafford’s Vicki Gram ($7.00, Art Stafford, Jr.) earned her second straight wire-to-wire win on Wednesday (April 30) in the featured $22,000 Junior Open Trot in 1:57.4 at Harrington Raceway.

Vicki Gram was a 1:57.4 winner in the $22,000 Junior Open Trot.

The 7-year-old Valley Victor mare was sent for the lead from post four and set fractions of :28.2, :58.3 and 1:28 as Sugar Valley Alley and favorite Go Sassy Go mounted an attack on the outside.

On the final turn, ‘Alley’ backed away and ‘Sassy’ charged three-wide, but for the second straight week came up short in her bid from off the pace as Vicki Gram won by a length. Customize finished third.

The win pushed Vicki Gram over the $200,000 mark in lifetime earnings for owner/trainer Stafford.

Driver Victor Kirby won four races on the program.
