Vivid Photo to qualify at Tioga on Friday

by Dustin Ross, regional racing operations manager, Tioga Downs

Nichols, NY — One of harness racing’s favorite free for all trotters, Vivid Photo, has been entered to qualify at Tioga Downs on Friday morning (July 18).

Co-owner, trainer, and driver Roger Hammer will be making the ship up from Pennsylvania to compete in the Tompkins-Geers stake races on Friday night.

Vivid Photo has been off for nearly three months after cracking a coffin bone in his left front hoof that was to have kept him out of competition until 2009.

The 6-year-old gelded son of S J’s Photo has won 34 of his 70 career starts, banking over $2.8 million for owners Hammer and Todd Schadel.

Qualifying results can be found on the Tioga Downs Web site immediately following the end of qualifiers at www.tiogadowns.com.
