Vivid Photo to qualify on Friday

by Dustin Ross, for Tioga Downs

Nichols, NY — Vivid Photo will make his way back to the track on Friday, May 18, for a qualifying race at Tioga Downs.

The 5-year-old son of SJ’s Photo made his 2007 seasonal debut at Pocono Downs on April 2 in an Open Trot, where he won in 1:55. Co-owner, trainer and driver Roger Hammer then entered him into the first leg of the Classic Series at Dover Downs, but he was scratched due to an injury.

The 2005 Hambletonian winner has banked more than $2.1 million in what is now his fourth season for co-owners Hammer and Todd Schadel.

Ken Weingartner of Harness Racing Communications reported earlier this week that Vivid Photo is most likely tuning up for his return to the races on June 9 at Mohawk for the third leg of the Classic Series.
