Salem, NH — Who is the best young trotter on the Rockingham Park grounds? The answer will be evident on Friday afternoon, when the track hosts the $25,000 final of the Yankee Bambino Series.

On the basis of past performance in the previous three legs of the series, Whenyouaresmiling has been installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite with driver Mark Lancaster holding the reigns.

The trotter bested his competition in two of the three legs and finished second in the other, and looks to be the horse to beat.

Gainseville Gator, second in the series’ point standings behind the probable favorite, is also primed for a winning effort for driver Jim Doherty.

Post time for Friday’s 11 race card is 1:05 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoon, leading driver Bruce Ranger maintained his phenomenal win streak by crossing under the wire first in three races.

It was another multiple win day for the defending Coors Light Driver of the Year as he stays on pace to break his own record for most wins in a single harness season at The Rock.
