Youth Foundation Ponies Looking for Spring Trainers

Harness Racing Communications, a division of the USTA

Harness Horse Youth Foundation is seeking individuals to condition the ponies of the Harness Racing Youth League stable in preparation for their summer season. Ponies will need at least 120 miles of jogging between date of delivery (April 20 – May 1) and date of pick up (June 15). They come with their own set of harness and well-mannered, easygoing personalities.

Harness Racing Youth League (HRYL) is the summer program designed for children between the ages of 11 and 13 to learn about care and intricacies of harness racing. This year’s locations include: The Meadows June 20 – 24; Harrington Raceway June 26 – 30; Mohawk Raceway July 5 – 9; Pocono Downs July 12 – 16; Bangor Raceway July 19 – 23; The Meadowlands July 28 – 30; Indiana Downs August 2 – 6; Stampede Park dates pending.
