Columbus, OH — Members of a group called Citizens Against a Bad Deal – No Racino, have forced the city of Biddeford, Maine to call a general meeting on the proposed Biddeford Downs racino project for Monday, Oct. 25.
According to a story on keepmecurrent.com, Dennis Rioux, chairman of the city’s Conservation Commission and a member of Citizens Against a Bad Deal, the purpose behind the general meeting is for opponents of the $125 million racino project to set the agenda and speak without interruption or being gaveled down by Mayor Joanne Twomey.
