Bryce Truitt, 87, dies

Columbus, OH — Bryce Norwood Truitt, 87, of Whaleyville, Md., died Nov. 18, 2019, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury.

Mr. Truitt was born in Whaleyville and was the son of the late Joseph Truitt and Achsah (Holloway) King. He was a retired Standardbred trainer and a member of the United States Trotting Association.

He is survived by a son, Randy N. (Dawn); his companion, Priscilla Nock; step-daughters, Crystal Nock (Jay Tapman) and Dawn Elliott; grandchildren, Kristi Reichner, Zachary, Shara Taylor, Samantha Elliott, Jesssica Elliott, and Logan Tapman; great-grandchildren, Trevor Reichner and Cameron Taylor; daughter-in-law, Cindy; and half-brother, George King. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda M., in 1985; son, Bryce A.; brothers, Bryan O., Joseph Dick, and Charles; sisters, Doris Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor; and a grandson, Shane.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 25) at Dale Cemetery in Whaleyville.
