Captaintreacherous is on top once again in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Three-year-old colt pacer Captaintreacherous improved to 4-for-4 this season with his win in his Hempt elimination last weekend at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and remained solidly on top in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll.
The defending Pacer of the Year holds a 125-point advantage over No. 2 Bee A Magician, a 3-year-old filly trotter who improved to 6-for-6 this year with an Ontario Sire Stakes record 1:52.2 victory at Mohawk last night.
Market Share, the 2012 Hambletonian winner and Dan Patch Award honoree as best 3-year-old male trotter, jumped into the rankings at No. 8 after winning in 1:51.1 in last week’s TVG Free For All Championship Series event at the Meadowlands.
Also vaulting into the Top 10 was Foiled Again, who won his Franklin Pace elim in 1:48 at Pocono Downs last weekend, equaling the fastest mile ever by an older pacer on a five-eighths-mile track and setting the record for fastest time by a gelding of any age.
