Defiance County horsemen hold silent auction for breedings

Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association is holding a silent auction for breedings to numerous stallions.

There is currently one Ohio pacing stallion, one Ohio trotting stallion, one Maryland pacing stallion, one Maryland trotting stallion, and one Pennsylvania pacing stallion in the auction.

The pacing stallion Running Book (Real Desire-Open Book) stands at Abby Stables of Sugarcreek, Ohio. The trotting stallion Rompaway Wally (Conway Hall-Cheerful Yankee) stands at Hagemeyer Farm of Clarksville, Ohio. Both the pacing stallion The Fraternity Pan (Artsplace-Yankee Co-Ed) and the trotting stallion Four Starz Robro (Conway Hall-Armbro Pantomime) stand at Harris Stallion Station of Federalsburg, Md. The pacing stallion Tuffofthetoughest (Bettor’s Delight-Heatherjeankillean) stands at Delaware Valley College of Doylestown, Pa.

Bids will be taken on all stallions until 7 p.m. on Friday (March 27).

At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have a chance to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out. Should there be any stallions receiving no bids prior to 7 p.m. on March 27, silent bids on those stallions only will be taken at the Association’s reverse raffle on Saturday (March 28).
