Thursday’s (June 18) edition of Fair Roundup features a results story from the Paulding (Ohio) County Fair.

Action continues at Paulding Fair

Paulding, OH — The Paulding County Fair at Paulding, Ohio, which is the first of nine fairs in the Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association, wrapped up its two-day meet with 11 races on Thursday.

Win Master (Master Lavec-Sexy Sahbra) captured the first division of the 2-year-old colt trot in 2:10.3. Mark Headworth drove the gelding for owner-trainer Bill Webb. The second split went to Jailhouse Dale (Jailhouse Jesse-Chipper Dale) in 2:11.1. Greg Bateson handled the reins for trainer Barb Lewis. Lewis co-owns the colt with Michael Pozefsky.

The lone division of the 2-year-old filly pace found Yankees Acomin (Yankee Cruiser-Yankee Mist) in the winner’s circle. The Custer Stables owns the filly, and Greg Bateson brought her home in 2:04.3.

Sassey Sauterelle (Ilooklikemymom-JH Sauterelle) came home first in the first division of the 3-year-old filly trot in 2:04.2. John Konesky III trains and drives the filly for G. B. Reddin. Jim Mulinix’s Cindora (Emile Angus-Cinder Madalyn) took the second division in 2:09. Mulinix also trains the filly, and Mark Headworth picked up the winning drive.

Dawn Of Trey (Dawn Ofa New Day-Pocket O’Dreams) won the first split of the 2-year-old colt pace in 2:06.4. Ryan Stahl is the owner-trainer-driver of Dawn Of Trey. Greg Bateson guided Bruce Farquhar’s Contraband (Stand Forever-RG Firefly) to victory in the second division in 2:04.1. Farquhar is also the colt’s trainer.
