Famous French horseman Jean Pierre Dubois dominates Prix d’Amerique sale in Paris

Vincennes, FR — Jean Pierre Dubois had entered 17 trotters in the Prix d’Amerique-sale held at Vincennes Friday.

Seven of the 17 were sold for a total of 1.366.000 Euro – or 1.6 million dollars.

These seven Dubois-trotters accounted for no less than 54% of the total sale Friday.

Greenpeace, a three-year-old filly was the sales topper as she brought in 410.000 Euro – or 467.500 dollars.

Greenpeace, sired by Memphis du Rib, is one if the best French three-year-old fillies, and has recently won the Prix Une de Mai and has been second in the Prix Gelinotte. She has a record of 1.59.2 (mile rate).

The five most expensive horses at the sale was all Dubois-owned. Four of them was bought by the agent, Langley Bloodstock.

Because of the Dubois influence, the sale ended on a plus, as the average price became 23.988 Euro – 27.300 dollars – 12.1% better than last year.

However, the buyback rate fell to 52,7%.
