Final list of eligibles for Pepsi North America Cup released

Milton, ON — Woodbine Entertainment has released the final list of eligible horses for this year’s C$1 million Pepsi North America Cup. A total of 50 sophomore pacers remain eligible following the final sustaining payment on May 15.

Canada’s richest harness race is scheduled for Saturday (June 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Eliminations will take place a week prior on June 8.

Dan Patch Award winner Captain Crunch delivered a major statement to the other 49 eligible horses with a stunning 1:49.1 victory over a sloppy track on this past Sunday night at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. The Nancy Johansson trainee was making his season’s debut and is scheduled to compete again this Sunday in another Pennsylvania Sires Stakes leg at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

O’Brien Award winner Stag Party will make his season’s debut this Saturday at Woodbine Mohawk Park in an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold division. The Casie Coleman trainee has qualified three times this season, most recently winning in 1:53 on May 17 at Mohawk Park.
