Girl power in Sweden

The 7-year-old Double Exposure, with Ôrjan Kihlström in the bike, finished in :26.4 to win the prestigious Aabergs Memorial at Jägersro.

She was the only mare in the race, but she was the best.

Double Exposure, sired by Donato Hanover and bred in the United States by J&T Silva Stables, did the race of her life Tuesday evening (July 28) at Jägersro and won handily in 1:51.2f, a lifetime best.

This performance was by far the best for Double Exposure, who is owned by the Zet Stable and trained by Daniel Redén. Double Exposure won by three lengths followed by Cokstile and Ta Kwon Deo. The promising 4-year-old trotter Ecurie D, who went into the race undefeated from 11 starts, had to settle for fourth.

The purse for the winner was 1,609,000 SEK — or $183,500.
