Lexington, KY — Four youth representatives from the Harness Horse Youth Foundation have been extremely busy as racing ambassadors at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The HHYF representatives prepare their Standardbred for a demonstration in Lexington.

The young people, dressed in eye-catching red, white, and blue colors designed especially for the World Equestrian Games festivities, drove equine members of the Harness Racing Youth League stable in racing demonstrations. They were joined by the champion trotter Mr Muscleman and trainer Noel Daley who awed the crowd with their presence. After each performance, the kids took their horses ringside to meet the general public. In addition, the young people presented harnessing demonstrations in the Kids’ Corral area each day.

The Harness Racing Museum and the HHYF also teamed up to create a mock winner’s circle as the theme for their booth highlighting the excitement of harness racing and the Standardbred racehorse.

Sponsorship of the HHYF attendance was provided by Kentuckiana Stallion Management and the U.S. Trotting Association.

In addition to dedicated trustees Nicola Abrams and Marlys Pinske, HHYF was assisted by Gabe Prewitt as the demonstration announcer, Mike Freibert, Susan Truehart-Gary, Kelly Roush, and parents Billie Jo Dunn-Fenwick, Sally Kimelman, and Karl and Melissa Pinske.
