Columbus, OH — The Canton (OH) Repository is reporting that a man was arrested Monday morning (Jan. 14), accused of releasing more than a dozen horses from the Stark County Fairgrounds.

The horses released are Standardbreds that race at Northfield Park.

One of the horses later died after falling through the ice at Meyers Lake, according to reports.
