International Trot, Red Mile preview on Morning Line

Columbus, OH — A look ahead to this Saturday’s International Trot at Yonkers Raceway and a preview of Grand Circuit action at The Red Mile is featured on this week’s episode of Morning Line, the USTA’s new weekly video news magazine.
Hosts Allison Conte and Paul Ramlow also recap outstanding performances at Hollywood Dayton Raceway by Il Sogno Dream and State Treasurer in the Dayton Derbies.
Weekly features include Paul’s Paddock Picks and the ‘Tweet of the Week’, as well as giving fans a chance to state their opinion in ‘Sound Off On Social” for a chance to win USTA swag.

Verlin Yoder and Natural Herbie return this weekend to the site of their biggest win, hoping to come away with an even bigger score. Last year, Natural Herbie — owned, trained and driven by Yoder — prevailed over a talented field in the $250,000 International Trot Preview at Yonkers Raceway. On Saturday, the Indiana-based duo returns for the $1 million International Trot at the Hilltop.

Joyce McClelland and her husband Richard have spent 35 years in harness racing, but have never enjoyed a year like this one. Pinkman has left them tickled pink. Pinkman, who counts Joyce McClelland among his owners, is the 2-1 morning line favorite in Saturday’s $527,000 Kentucky Futurity for 3-year-old trotters at The Red Mile in Lexington.
