Jessica Otten to join Meadowlands team

East Rutherford, NJ — A new face will be seen on the award-winning Meadowlands Racetrack television broadcast on Friday (Nov. 2). Michigan native Jessica Otten will join the Meadowlands as promotions/contest host and paddock interviewer. Otten was born into the harness business and has assisted her father, Peter Otten, in running his stable.

In 2016 she joined Post Time with Mike and Mike for their first live remote at the Meadowlands for Breeders Crown weekend. Over the last two years, Otten has become a valued member of the Mike and Mike team, co-hosting live remotes and interviewing some of the industry’s biggest stars.

“As someone who was born and raised in the business, I am extremely excited for the opportunity to be working at the Meadowlands,” Otten said. “This is something I love doing and I look forward to pursing my career here.”

Otten will also assist with the track’s social media platforms with a special focus on Snap Chat and race-night Twitter.

“Ms. Otten will bring a fresh perspective to the Meadowlands broadcast,” said Meadowlands COO/GM Jason M. Settlemoir. “Jessica has grown up in the business and knows harness racing inside and out. She will also infuse our contests and promotions with some additional excitement.”
