Jones and Burns pick up wins in Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series

Edgerton, OH — The Clinton County Fair in Wilmington, Ohio, hosted two divisions of the Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series on Tuesday (July 9). When the finish line had been crossed in each split, Mandy Jones and Kacey Burns were fortunate enough to find their way to the winner’s circle.

Sports Band (Sportswriter-Bandolera Hanover) provided Jones with her victory in the first division after a mile in 2:00. Jones also owns the 4-year-old gelding with her father Brian performing the training duties.

Burns piloted Bluesky Charley (Charley Barley-Blue Skies) to a mile in 1:59 to capture the second split. Brian Georges trains the 5-year-old gelding and also co-owns him with Kent Walker.

Jazmin Arnold is the current leader in the Series with 190 points. Mandy Jones holds down second place with 139 points, and third place belongs to Alesha Binkley with 96 points.

The Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series will visit three Ohio fairs next week. The Franklin County Fair at Hilliard will play host on Sunday (July 14), the Ottawa County Fair at Oak Harbor will be the sponsors on Monday (July 15), and the week will conclude at the Fayette County Fair in Washington Court House on Saturday (July 20).
