Littlebagoftricks, Downtown Show win DSBF finals at Dover

Dover, DE — Two $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund finals for 2-year-old pacers were held on Thanksgiving eve (Nov. 25) at Dover Downs.

The Ramona Hubbard for the filly pacers was won by Littlebagoftricks (Roddy’s Bags Again-Bit Of Trick) in 1:52.4, a new lifetime record and stakes record for driver Russell Foster and trainer/co-owner Josh Green. The winner is co-owned by Charles Cochran III and Richard Lombardo and was bred by Josh’s father’s Green Racing, Inc.

The place filly was Hey Hey Dbay followed by Stealing Bases.

The colt pacers saw a huge upset as Downtown Show (Delmarvalous-Slow Down Rita) went off at 59-1 and scored a maiden win in 1:54 for driver Allan Davis and trainer Les Givens. Owned by Henry Faragalli III, Arthur Feeney, and Teresa Givens’ (daughter of Ramona Hubbard) Nanticoke Racing, Inc., the breeder was Winbak Farm.

Second was the Harrington final winner, Subban, with Z’s Dream finishing third.

The 3-year-olds series for DSBF pacers begins Monday (Nov. 30) with trotting fillies. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
