Looking Superb won in a new race record of 1:53.3 (mile rate). The purse for the winner was $86,000.

The old record of 1:54.4 (mile rate) was held by Jag de Belllouet, who won the race in 2004.

Looking Superb came to Jean Michel Bazire in November last year and from being an average trotter the 6-year-old horse has developed into a top trotter. He has won the Prix Tenor de Baune and was second in the 2019 Prix d’Amerique and has earned around $500,000 for Bazire.

After the win Saturday, Looking Superb has been invited to race in the Elitlopp.

Another impressive winner Saturday at Enghien was Face Time Bourbon, who once again proved that he is the best French 4-year-old. Face Time Bourbon, driven by Björn Goop, went off stride at the start and spotted around 35 yards to the field before he began trotting. However, he very easily won the 1-3/4 mile contest in 1:58.1 (mile rate).

Some 8,100 fans were at Enghien Saturday.
