Maharajah-colt tops Swedish online yearling sale

The world-famous Swedish farm, Menhammar sold 29 trotting yearlings for an average price of $60,490 at an online yearling sale Sunday evening (July 12).

This is the highest average ever at a European yearling sale.

East Ward, a colt sired by Maharajah and out of Way out East, she’s a Chapter Seven-sister to Crazed, was the most expensive yearling and was sold for $195,500.

It was – as rather often at a European yearling sale –  Lennart Aagren and his SRF Stable, who was the buyer of the most expensive yearling.

The second-highest price was $171,000, which was paid for Ers Excellence by Villiam (he by Muscle Hill) and out of Your Highness. Your Highness was a top trotter, who took a mark of 1.52.1f and earned just over $1 million. This is her first foal.
