Matron 2-year-old draw set for Monday

Dover, DE — Monday (Nov. 6) is draw day for the lucrative Matron Stakes for 2-year-old trotting and pacing fillies and colts.

The Dover Downs entry box is open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. To supplement to a Matron freshman division, a declaration fee of $20,000 is due and payable at time of declaration.

The Matron Stakes are the oldest continual stakes program in harness racing and now are raced at Dover Downs. This year, all 2-year-old events for colt and filly trotters and pacers are set for this Thursday (Nov. 9). The 3-year-old Matron divisions will be raced on the following Thursday (Nov. 16).
