Meadowlands and Hambletonian Society issue policy on indicted trainers

East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands and the Hambletonian Society are announcing a joint policy addressing the March indictments and arrests resulting from the current FBI investigation into illegal drug use.

The policy states that in 2020, any future arrests or indictments coming from this investigation shall result in those horses either owned or trained by an arrested or indicted individual being denied from racing in any Meadowlands, Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs or Hambletonian Society controlled races until 60 days after transfer to a bona fide separate trainer or in the case of ownership 60 days after ownership transfer.
