Miami Valley Gaming and MGM Northfield Park racinos close

Columbus, OH — Miami Valley Gaming and MGM Northfield Park have posted on their websites that their racinos are now closed.

The following is a statement from Miami Valley Gaming:

“Following guidance from the State of Ohio Director of Health and Governor DeWine in regards to the coronavirus (COVID-19), MVG is closed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please continue to follow MVG’s website and social media for updates as they become available.”

Miami Valley Raceway will continue to present live racing, including Saturday (March 14), but without live fans as the grandstand remains closed.

The following is a statement from MGM Northfield Park:

“In compliance with the order to ban gatherings of 100 people or more in the state of Ohio, MGM Northfield Park has suspended operations and is temporarily closed. We will monitor this rapidly changing situation and will keep you informed as decisions are made on when we will reopen. All scheduled promotions and events will be postponed until further notice. As always, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority. We look forward to welcoming you back to MGM Northfield Park soon.”

Northfield Park is still planning to race their Saturday night live racing card without fans in attendance.
