Mike and Mike focus on Innovator Award nominees Thursday

Elkton, MD — Post Time with Mike and Mike presented by BetAmerica, is excited to announce the line-up for Thursday morning (Dec. 6) at 10:30 a.m. They will be joined by the nominees for the 2018 USTA Innovator of the year Award, which include Ken Terpenning, Ashley Tetrick, Rod Allums Jr., Ryan Clements, Tim Harless, Rick Moore and last year’s award winner Chris Gooden.

Terpenning, who was nominated in multiple award categories, promotes the sport in a number of manners, including on Social Media. He is also an aspiring announcer, who called the first race on Minnesota Championship night at Running Aces.

Tetrick, who is the wife of driver Tim Tetrick, has stamped herself as a prominent member of the harness racing industry. Ashley works tirelessly to help with Standardbred aftercare and ensures she does what she can to help positively improve the sport of harness racing.

Allums, who co-hosts North American Harness Update, positively promotes the sport by helping new gamblers and handicappers by showing them different wagering angles. Allums helped to spearhead NAHU Picks, a service that provides nightly selections to some of North America’s top racetracks.

Clements, who has received numerous nominations throughout the process for his creation of the Off And Pacing Mobile App and Catch Driver, continues to expand the development of their game. It has helped create new fans in the sport of harness racing in a lot of different countries.

Harless, who has been the Speed Superintendent at the Darke County Fair for many years, was the originator of the Ohio Lady Pace. He spends hours getting races and higher purses for the Darke County Fair, and his doings made it possible for it to be the Blue Ribbon Fair for 2018.

Moore, who is the Director of Racetrack Operations at Harrah’s Hoosier, presented the 2017 Breeders Crown and in their nomination was applauded for their HD race feed. Hoosier Park is very friendly when it comes to track marketing and promotions with plenty to do for on-track patrons.

Gooden, who won the USTA Innovator Award last year, prides himself on taking different shots from many angles to ensure the best photo. His funny shots of Aaron Merriman are consistently a hit throughout social media.
