Milligan’s School closes in on $1 million

Sweden – Six-year-old Milligan’s School won the American Trot at the Romme Track in Sweden Saturday afternoon (Oct. 19) and is now less than $20,000 away from lifetime earnings of $1 million.

In a photo finish, Milligan’s School won the American Trot in 1.54f followed by Finnish Elian WEb and fellow American, Exodus Hanover. Milligan’s School – sired by Yankee Glide – is owned and trained by Stefan Melander and has Ulf Eriksson as his regular driver.

This was win number six from 14 starts this year for Milligan’s School, who picked up a check for the winner of $20,000 dollars.
Milligan’s School now has career earnings of $982,500.

In France, in one of Europe’s longest trotting races, the Prix de la Ville de Caen in Normandy raced over 4,400 meters (2-3/4 miles), was won by Bugsy Malone with Yoann Lebourgeois in the sulky. Bugsy Malone, who is trained by Philippe Allaire and sired by Ready Cash, was timed in 2:00 (mile rate).

The purse for the winner was $32,500.
