Campbellville, ON — Odds On Equuleus, who finished second in his Pepsi North America Cup elimination, will begin from post eight in the rich final.

The bay colt is trained by Robin Schadt and driven by Hall of Famer John Campbell.

Odds Of Equuleus put forth a rebound effort in his elim compared to his sixth place finish in his division of the Somebeachsomewhere. Schadt noted that she and the horse’s caretaker, Melissa Allen, found a foot abscess on Odds On Equuleus following his disappointing effort.

He’ll look for his first victory of the season this Saturday in the C$1 million classic.

The son of Art Major, who is owned by Odds On Racing, was a highly ranked sophomore after banking $417,534 last season along with a 5-1-2 record from nine starts.

Earlier this week at the draw, Schadt offered her thoughts on her star pacer and discusses the foot abscess. To view the video, click here.
