Northfield horsemen pay tribute to Jarrod Duncan

Northfield, OH — On Monday (March 10) the Northfield Park backstretch community conducted a ceremony in honor of their fellow horseman, 39-year-old Jarrod Duncan, who died March 5, 2014.

Mr. Duncan began training in 2005 and had since garnered 254 victories and earned purses of $1,238,111.

He was born in Wisconsin, grew up in East Moline, Ill., and raced exclusively in the Midwest. He most recently trained a stable of four horses including African Violet, Go Forit BB, Life In The Sand and Shelby Lu.

His service will be held at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main St., Crete, IL on Saturday (March 15) where visitors may call from 1-4 p.m. A service will be held at 4 p.m.
