Grove City, OH — Pass The Vape was honored by the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association OHHA) as the 2020 Older Trotter of the Year on Saturday (Jan. 16).

Pass The Vape, a son of Dejarmbro out of Vapor Rises, earned $109,642 from 24 starts for trainer Derek Watiker and owner Lionel Watiker. Lionel is Derek’s father.

Pass The Vape scored his biggest win of the year in the $85,000 Ohio Sires Stakes championship for older trotters at Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway.

“It’s nice having a homebred perform so well,” said Derek. “He shows up every week and I’ll take a full barn of racehorses that show up every week.“

Pass The Vape will be honored during the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association’s virtual award show on Jan. 16, 2021. The awards show is scheduled to air on the OHHA YouTube channel at 7 p.m.
