Richard Chansky Bailed From Ocean County Jail

Trainer Richard Chansky, arrested February 25 for failure to appear at his arraignment on tax and illegal drug charges in mid-February, has been released on bail.

Chansky was arrested in Jackson, New Jersey and was released from the Ocean County Jail on February 26 on $50,000 cash bail. He and associate Kevin Goodell have been indicted by a grand jury on tax, illegal possession and receiving stolen property charges in connection with a 2001 arrest. Goodell remains wanted on a 50 state arrest warrant for failure to appear at the mid-February arraignment.

A pre-arraignment hearing is scheduled for March 16 for Chansky. His racing license has been revoked by the New Racing Racing Commission.
