Rose Run Whitney wins third straight in Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Rose Run Whitney moved three-wide through the final turn and powered through the lane to capture her third straight victory in Thursday’s (Jan. 20) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned trot.

Rose Run Whitney followed the live cover of Tequila Talkin and found another gear in the stretch when Jim Pantaleano tipped her off cover. The 4-year-old daughter of Uncle Peter and Stonebridge Dancer scored in 1:55.3, 1-1/4 lengths better than Icanflylikeanangel, with the rallying Hashtagmadeyalook third.

Bill Daugherty Jr. trains Rose Run Whitney, who boosted her career bankroll to $161,123, for lessee Susan Daugherty.

Dave Palone, trainer Brady Jenson and Pantaleano each enjoyed a double on the 10-race card. while Doug Snyder collected a win as a driver and another as a trainer.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday (Jan. 21), when the 10-race program features a pair of carryovers: $7,722.42 in the Jackpot Pick-5 (races 4-8) and $2,104.30 in the Early Pick-4 (races 3-6). First post is 12:45 p.m.
