Manalapan, NJ – The SBOANJ has announced that there will be a significant purse increase to both the Garden State Trot #1 and the Garden State Trot #2 based on the addition of the state-sired appropriation funding.

The Garden State Trot #1 for 3-year-old New Jersey Sired trotters scheduled to race at Freehold Raceway, with fillies on Friday, Oct. 25 and colts on Saturday, Oct. 26 , was previously advertised with an estimated purse of $50,000. The new minimum purse has been increased to $80,000 for both fillies and colts.

The Meadowlands will host the Garden State Trot #2 for 2-year-old New Jersey Sired trotters, which was advertised as a $60,000 purse and will be increased to a minimum purse of $90,000 for both fillies and colts to be raced on Saturday, Nov. 9.
