Dayton, OH — Driver Josh Sutton enjoyed a banner day on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 22) at Hollywood Dayton Raceway, guiding six horses to the winner’s circle for six different trainers.

Sutton’s successes started in the third race, when he scored with Dancin’ Anna (1:54, $4.20) for trainer Daniel Shetler. His next win didn’t occur until the eighth race, but the 38-year-old reinsman captured five of the final seven races.

Scrappy Sam (1:53.1, $17.20) was victorious for Sutton and trainer Mike Sweeney, followed in quick succession by Machtu N (1:53, $10.00, trainer Sherif Cunmulaj), Hoosier Celebrity (1:53.1, $2.80, Ross Leonard), Fanatic (1:54.1, $12.80, Todd Luther) and Fancy Creek Elusiv (1:53.2, $2.60, Chris Short).

Sutton is currently second in the dash standings at Dayton Raceway, trailing only Brett Miller.
