Trixton filly brings $415,000 at onGAIT.com

Boca Raton, FL – Aunt Irene 2,1:55.1 ($124,484), sold to Steve Finkelstein’s Jesmeral Stable of New York for $415,000 on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 4) at onGait.com.

Consigned by the partnership of Christina Takter and Solveig’s Breeders of East Windsor, NJ, the 3-year-old Trixton filly is out of Hall Of Fame honored broodmare, Solveig 2,1:56; 4,1:54.4f ($820,791).

After her standout racing career, Solveig has had 10 foals of racing age, five with records under 1:55 and combined earnings of nearly $5 million. In 2011, her mating to Donato Hanover produced the two-time Breeders Crown champion Shake It Cerry 2,1:53.3; 3,1:51.2; BT1:49.4 ($2,786,104).

Plans call for Aunt Irene to be bred to Walner for the 2022 breeding season.

Currently in the auction ring are Katie’s Lucky Day 3,1:50.4 ($512,416), this year’s Kentucky Filly Futurity winner; Almanac p,2,1:51.2 ($85,253), one of six racehorses being sold by the Ron Burke outfit; 17 in-foal broodmares consigned by Hanover Shoe Farms; three in-foal mares from Yankeeland Farms and four young mares being sold by Crawford Farms.
