Columbus, OH — Tyler Buter drove the 2,000th winner of his career on Wednesday (March 27) when he steered Zooming to a 1:55.4 victory in the third race at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Buter, a 27-year-old Michigan native now living in upstate New York, is coming off a career-best $3.18 million in purses last season and entered Wednesday needing two wins to reach 2,000 for his career. Last year, he won 239 times and was third among drivers at Pocono Downs in both wins and money.

Buter posted win No. 1,999 in the first race of the evening by piloting As Ya’ll Like It to a 1:55 score. He achieved the milestone win in his next drive when he rallied Zooming to the front in the lane and defeated Sleek N Wow by 1-1/2 lengths. Zooming is trained by Buter’s wife, Amber, and is co-owned by Tyler, along with Stephen Oldford and Oldford Farms.
