Wallis suspended in Michigan, Ontario

Mississauga, ON — The Ontario Racing Commission has imposed an indefinite suspension on veteran horseman Kevin Wallis as of Saturday, July 3, following a recent suspension handed down to the reinsman by the Michigan Racing Commission.

Wallis, a career winner of 9,072 races and purses in excess of $41 million, was taken off eight scheduled drives at Hiawatha Horse Park this past Saturday evening and a pair of horses trained by his wife, Linda, were also scratched.

Wallis has been associated with a number of top performers over the course of his career including Dan Patch Award and O’Brien Award winner Burning Point p,1:49.2 ($2,810,194).
