Yonkers, NY — Just because Yonkers Raceway is dark doesn’t mean Yonkers Raceway is quiet.

Ahead of the return of live racing next Friday night (June 7), the Raceway is offering these items of interest.

The first draw — on Monday (June 3) — is actually a double draw for June 7 and 8, with the entry box closing at 9 a.m. sharp.

There are also morning draws for the cards of June 10 (box closes Tuesday, June 4) and June 11 (box closes Thursday, June 6), before the regular late afternoon draw schedule returns when the June 13 card is drawn next Friday (June 7).

When racing resumes, a Pick-5 guarantee will also go into effect. As part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program and with the approval of the New York State Gaming Commission, a $10,000 guarantee is available every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening, starting June 10.

Should the sequence go without a winner, the current ‘instant guarantee’ remains leading to the next racing program.

The Pick-5 is a 50-cent base wager comprising either races six through 10 (10-race card) or seven through 11 (more than 10-race card). It has no consolation payoff, hence the shot at an ‘instant guarantee.’
