$189,970.16 Jackpot Hi-5 hit Thursday night at Woodbine

Toronto, ON — A single winning ticket correctly hit the Jackpot Hi-5 Thursday night (Feb. 18) at Woodbine Racetrack to score the winning horseplayer a massive $189,970.16 payout.

The winning ticket was constructed by an HPIBet customer from Nova Scotia, who made a $252 wager to correctly hit the Jackpot Hi-5.

The winning horseplayer keyed race winner No. 4 Princess Katie on top and used several others underneath.

Princess Katie came through and won the Jackpot Hi-5 race, a Fillies & Mares non-winners of two pace, at odds of 9-2. The top five was completed by No. 1 Queenofthejungle (16-1), No.3 Money Magic (5-1), No. 7 In The Shadows (60-1) and No. 9 Sodwana Bay (13-1). Ambrosia Seelster, the 3-5 favorite, finished outside the money in eighth.

The Jackpot Hi-5 carryover was $161,715.16 heading into Thursday night’s card of racing. A total of $33,241 of new money was wagered into the Jackpot Hi-5.

The last significant Jackpot Hi-5 payout occurred in December, when a horseplayer connected for a $242,409 payout.

The Jackpot Hi-5 will now start from scratch Friday night. Post time for the 10-race card is 7:30 p.m.
