18th Group 1 win for top Italian trotter Vivid Wise As

The 9-year-old Vivid Wise As, trained by Alessandro Gocciadoro and with top French driver Matthieu Abrivard in the bike, won the Gran Premio Gaetano Turilli at the Capannelle track in Rome.

This was the 18th Group 1-win for Vivid Wise As, who has been a top trotter since he first raced as a 2-year-old.

Vivid Wise As had to fight for the victory in Rome as Bleff Dipa with Roberto Vecchione came close down the stretch, but Vivid Wise As held him off and won by a half-length.

The purse for the winner was 64,400 Euro and Vivid Wise As now has 35 wins from 85 races and earnings of 2.95 million Euros.

Though born in Italy, Vivid Wise As is sired by Yankee Glide and out of Temple Blue Chip, she by Cantab Hall.
