from the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program

Tucson, AZ — The Race Track Industry Program at the University of Arizona is pleased to announce the transcripts and PowerPoint presentations from the 2012 Global Symposium on Racing & Gaming are now available online. The materials can be accessed through the program’s website, www.ua-rtip.org under Symposium.

A total of 42 speakers participated in 11 panel discussions during the event, which was held at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Ariz., Dec. 3-6.

The theme — keeping an “i” on what’s critical to racing — included sessions promoting international collaboration and networking, as well as the changing environments of racing in the media, account and mobile wagering and the relevance of the racing side of the racino.

The inaugural Global Simulcast Marketplace brought together international buyers and sellers of the racing product during the Symposium and was enthusiastically received by the international racing community. Participants of this event came from five continents, representing over 40 organizations and hundreds of tracks.

The transcripts and other media are free to access and use for research. Reporters who wish to use them for publication must contact the UA Race Track Industry Program at 520.621.5660.
