2013 Bobby Quillen Memorial dates set, nominating fee lowered

Harrington, DE — Harrington Raceway has lowered the amount of its sole nominating payment for the track’s signature race, the Bobby Quillen Memorial.
The April 15 payment will now carry a fee of $500, half of its previous total. The race will still carry a $2,500 starting fee, due with declaration into the race.
The Quillen Memorial (3-year-old and up pacers) has become a staple on the September stakes calendar for Open pacers and featured a world record equaling mile from Betterthancheddar in 2012. The final is $170,000 (added) and carries an estimated final of $200,000.
The 2013 edition of the Quillen is set for September 9 (eliminations) and September 16 (final).
