Toronto, ON — Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) and Central Ontario Standardbred Association (COSA) today announced the live racing schedule for the 2015 Standardbred racing season.

The 2015 campaign will feature 221 live race dates in total, with 118 of those taking place at Mohawk, 16 more than last year, through the spring, summer and fall. The other 103 will be offered at Woodbine.

Another key change comes in the starting date for the Mohawk meet. The Woodbine winter season will end on Easter Monday, April 6 with Mohawk kicking off Thursday, April 9. The 2014 Mohawk season began on May 23.

The 2015 Mohawk meet will come to a close on Tuesday, September 29.

Live racing will then return to Woodbine Racetrack for the Fall/Winter meet on Thursday, October 1.

The Woodbine Fall/Winter meet will be highlighted by the Breeders Crown on Saturday, October 24. This will be the first time since 2012 that Woodbine has hosted the Breeders Crown.

Live racing will be conducted four-days-a-week from January to May and October to December. The schedule will increase to five-days-a-week during the months of June, July, August and September.

The 2015 schedule is subject to Ontario Racing Commission approval.
