2017 Harness Heroes cards are on their way

from the Harness Horse Youth Foundation

Westfield, IN — The Harness Horse Youth Foundation’s 2017 set of Harness Heroes trading cards is now available.

This year’s 35-card set features last year’s equine stars Always B Miki (the Dan Patch Horse of the Year), Betting Line, Hannelore Hanover, Pure Country and others. Human honorees include Brian Sears, David Miller, Team Teague and Jimmy Takter, to name just a few. The cards even give a nod to Hall of Fame horses of the past like Dale Frost and Darnley.

As customary, all 2016 equine divisional champions in the United States and Canada are showcased on these collectible cards, as are most of the top award winning human stars of the sport.

The front of each card features a photograph, while the back includes statistics and biographical information, baseball card style.

This year’s card sets are being assembled by Delaware area youth: the Peach Blossom and the Hollowing-n-Hooves 4-H Clubs. The participation by the clubs gives them the opportunity to raise funds as well as helping HHYF connect with local interested young people.

To order your set of Harness Heroes cards, send a (suggested) donation of $20 ($30 Canadian) per set, to Harness Horse Youth Foundation, 217 E. Main St., Sudlersville, MD 21668.

A limited number previous years’ card sets are also available for a similar donation. For more details, email Ellen@hhyf.org.
