Crete, IL — Balmoral Park will kick off the month of May in style for players across North America, offering two guaranteed pools this Wednesday (May 2).

The USTA and Balmoral Park have announced an instant guarantee of $50,000 on the Wednesday High 5 finale. This is possible because none of the 246,540 dime combinations selected the High 5 wager on Sunday, creating a Wednesday windfall and a one-day carryover of $18,490. The final leg of the Pick-4 will offer the much anticipated High 5 on race 10. The average payoff this year is a generous $1,334.96 for a dime.

The Pick-4 offers a guaranteed pool of $20,000 and starts on race 7. The increasingly popular wager has a takeout of 15 percent with a minimum wager of one dollar. The average Pick-4 pool in 2012 is $32,280 with more than $1,600,000 wagered on the 50 guaranteed pools this year. The average payout is $2,673.26 for a buck.
