Cleangame cleans up again

Vincennes, FR — French trotter Cleangame with trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire once again won in a very convincing style at Vincennes Sunday (Dec. 15).

Cleangame might be the world’s best trotter at present and it is a pity, that he as a gelding is not allowed to race in the big international races in the Winter meeting at Vincennes.

Cleangame is simply second to none and today he won in a hand drive from Jean Michel Bazire the Prix Jean Dumouch over 1-3/4 mile with standing start and trailing the field by 25 meters, easily in 1.55.1 (mile rate).

This was win number 14 from 17 races this year for Cleangame, who today got the winner’s purse of $45,000.

The main event at Vincennes was the Criterium des 3 Ans with a total purse of $225,000.

Sebastian Guarato-trained Gunilla d’Atout driven by Björn Goop was the favorite and in a photo finish, she just managed to put the nose in front of the fast-finishing Gu d’Heripre driven by Franck Nivard.

Gunilla d’Atout, who is sired by Ready Cash, was timed in 1.58.1 (mile rate).
