Re-appointments made to Indiana Horse Racing Commission

Indianapolis, IN — Indiana’s Governor Eric Holcomb recently reappointed Susie Lightle and George Pillow to the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.

Susie Lightle is a resident of Greenfield, Ind., and has been reappointed to serve the IHRC until Dec. 31, 2023. Retired from a career in politics that spanned 50 years, Lightle was recently awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash, one of the highest honors bestowed upon a citizen of Indiana. A former Standardbred owner, Lightle takes pride in serving on the IHRC.

“I’m delighted to be able to help keep the Indiana horse racing momentum moving forward,” she says. “Indiana racing continues to grow stronger nationally.”

George Pillow is a resident of Indianapolis, Ind., and was also reappointed to serve the IHRC until Dec. 31, 2023. He is the founder of Pillow Logistics, Inc., a company that provides courier, warehouse and mailroom services in Indiana. He is a member of the Indiana State University Hall of Fame for his time on the school’s basketball team.

Lightle and Pillow will continue to serve with fellow commission member Bill McCarty, Vice Chairman Greg Schenkel and Chairman Philip Borst, DVM.
