Photo Bomber prevails in Harrington debut

Harrington, DE — Frank Canzone and Ronald Sabatini’s Photo Bomber ($4.40, Victor Kirby) made his Harrington Raceway debut a winning one Wednesday (June 17) with a 1:58.4 triumph in the featured $10,000 Open Trot.

The 6-year-old Explosive Matter gelding led most of the way under confident handling from Kirby for a three-quarter length score over Faithfulandtrue and Theresademoninme. Trained by Jay Gannon, it was the 17th career win for Photo Bomber, who has banked more than $250,000 lifetime.

Kirby and Tim Tetrick each had a driving double.

Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund action for 3-year-olds will kick off next week’s racing with the pacing colts/geldings on Monday (June 22), pacing fillies on Tuesday (June 23) and both sexes of trotters on Wednesday (June 24). There will be two legs of $20,000 eliminations before the $100,000 finals will be contested the week of July 6-8.
