Two-year-old trotters kick off the Kentucky Sire Stakes at The Red Mile.

Lexington, KY – Cricket Fashion was the first winner of the day in a division for the colt and geldings, easily winning as the favorite.

The son of Muscle Hill – Cocktail Hour scored by over two lengths in 1:55.2. He is owned by Fashion Farms LLC, trained by Jim Campbell and was driven by Mark Macdonald.

The next colt division was taken by Cuatro De Julio.  The colt by Trixton – Clarabelle won his seventh race in a row in a lifetime best of 1:54. He is owned by D Farm LLC, trained by Marie Ortolan Bar and was steered to victory by Al Eferstein.

The final division for the colt and geldings was won by Dancinginthedark M.  After clearing to the front past the half, he drew off to win by over sixlengths in 1:52.3, a national season’s record. The son of Readly Express – Leila is owned by Menhammar Stuteri Ab, trained by Marcus Melander and was driven by Dave Palone.

In the first of four divisions for the fillies, Dutiful got her first lifetime win in 1:54.2 for driver Mike Wilder. The Trixton – Sarcy filly is trained by Jonas Czernyson, for owner Menhammar Stuteri Ab.

The next division was taken by Beautiful Game, for driver Mark Macdonald. The daughter of Muscle Hill – Honor Thy Daughter is trained by R. Nifty Norman for owners Melvin Hartman, David McDuffee and Enzed Racing Stable Inc in 1:55.

The third division saw Lady Chaos best her rivals in 1:54.2 for driver Mark Macdonald. The Cantab Hall – Strong Legacy filly is trained by Linda Toscano for owners Richard Gutnick, Thomas Pontone, Joseph Lozito Jr, and Enviro Stables LTD.

The final division saw longshot The Queen B pass by the favorite to score her first lifetime win in 1:55.2. The Muscle Hill – Superstar Hanover filly is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC, Phillip Collura, J&T Silva-Purnel & Libby, and Ras Racing LLC, trained by Ron Burke and was driven to victory by Joe Bongiorno.

Next up in Kentucky Sire Stakes action at The Red Mile will be 2-year-old pacers on Monday (Aug.16) with a first post of 1 p.m.
