London, ON — Due to the current strangles outbreak at Red Shores Charlottetown, The Raceway at Western Fair District will prohibit entries from horses based in the Maritimes effective immediately that do not show their most recent race in Ontario.

Until further notice, each horse will be required to submit two negative strangles tests one week apart to be eligible to race.

The Raceway will update the industry when the restriction is lifted.
