Admiral Ballsy wins again at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Admiral Ballsy has had a solid Fall meet at Rosecroft. In addition to the meet’s second fastest mile, 1:49.4, he now has multiple wins in the top class as he defeated eight foes easily Sunday night (Dec. 6) in 1:52.1.

It was one of three wins for driver Jonathan Roberts on the card as he allowed favorite and eventual second place finisher, Major Pocket A, to cut the first quarter in :27.1, Roberts then brushed the 4-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding to the front and they sprinted home from there.

Richard Malone Jr. owns and trains the five-time winner in 2020.

Versado won for the 65th time his career and pushed his earnings over $1.3 million as Roberts got him to the finish line in 1:53.4. The 13-year-old son of Dragon Again won for the fourth time in 16 starts this year and is now three-for-three at Rosecroft. Owner-trainer Megan Roberts purchased him privately last week, and he was claimed for $7,500 by David Rearic.

Frank Milby, Luke Hanners and Jared Moyer all had driving doubles on the card and trainer Ken Schlotzhauer won a pair.
